Double Your Small Farm Income in 2025!
Join the first Growing Farmers Small Farm Business Intensive, held on-location at Farm on Central Feb. 28th & Mar. 1st.
This event is limited to only 12 participants, so that we have enough time to workshop each of your farms individually, and address the specific challenges you may be facing.
You're making pennies on your veggies...
And it's not just you. Most small farms find themselves in an awkward phase when growing from just barely profitable to truly thriving.
- You're too big to sell all of your product at farmers markets...but you're too small to make any money when selling wholesale.
- You've got some permanent infrastructure in place, and some areas where you're improvising.
- You've got the beginnings of a team, but you've got gaps in your operation.
- You know it's time to up your marketing efforts, but you aren't sure how to make the largest impact.
You're going through the growing pains, but it's taking too long and the grind is wearing you down.
This year, that's gonna change...
We’ll take you behind the scenes and show you exactly how we built the Farm on Central, what it takes to keep the farm running, and how you can apply it to your business.
Join the 2-Day Small Farm Business Intensive, packed with...
✅ A full tour of Farm on Central, including our infrastructure, operations, online systems and software/apps.
✅ Masterclass sessions (taught by Michael Kilpatrick) on small farm marketing, sales, and business financials.
✅ Behind-the-scenes breakdown of how we started and scaled both the Farm on Central bakery and retail store (which does over $600,000 in annual revenue).
✅ Workshop sessions where we go through each of your farms one-by-one, and workshop practical farm improvements, brand messaging, sales tactics, and more. You will come away with a new marketing & sales strategy to implement in 2025.
Breakfast and lunch is included each day!

Hosted by Farm on Central!
Founded by Michael & Savannah Kilpatrick, we are an 8-acre urban farm, with our house right on the farm property. We primarily grow produce, but also have a sourdough bakery, on-farm retail store, and u-pick strawberry fields.
We are located at 572 Central Avenue, Franklin, OH 45005. Although lodging is not included for this event, we can suggest nearby accommodations for you.
I know what it's like to start a farm, pour all of your energy into it, then watch it fail.
In the early 2010s, I was a successful farmer. I was running Kilpatrick Family Farm in upstate NY with a solid team, and we were doing over $500,000 in annual revenue on just 15 acres.
But shortly afterwards I met Savannah, married her, and stepped down from Kilpatrick Family Farm to move closer to her family in Ohio. We left Kilpatrick Family Farm in the hands of our team—which ran the farm into the ground within just one year.
Savannah and I had to start over from scratch, which was stressful at the time, but turned out better than we could have dreamed.
Because we both had years of experience farming, we built Farm on Central with a solid vision in mind, and our annual revenue far bypassed that of Kilpatrick Family Farm in just a few years.
We grow various vegetables, serve our local community farm fresh food year-round through our farm store and CSA program, and sell to customers across the country through our online store.
This year, we're excited to invite 12 people to Farm on Central to learn our processes and operations, as well as receive dedicated small farm business training. We hope you join us February 28th & March 1st for this two-day small farm business intensive!
